The NEC DSX 22 Button Display Phone is available in black with features like a display that will display caller ID, a user can also perform normal functions of the phone with the soft keys below the display portion of the telephone such as programming the phone, transfer of calls create voice mail greetings and programming voice mail features. The NEC DSX 22 Button Display Phone also has 12 programmable function keys that can be programmed as line keys, busy lamp keys, call timer keys, conversation record keys, and a page all key. Other buttons include: a hold key, conference call key, speakerphone key, flash key, message waiting key along with a message waiting lamp boldly displayed on the top of the telephone, do not disturb key, intercom key, & a speaker phone key. The phone is compatible to work with cordless and corded head sets. Last but not least the NEC DSX 22 Button Display Phone has 10 personal speed dial buttons just under the display and soft keys that can hold as mush as 20 personal speed dial buttons.

The display shows users the Caller ID, Call Timer, and provides access via what is known as Soft Keys to many features available on the NEC DSX Display Phones.
Programmable Function Keys
The NEC DSX Display Phones has 12-Programmable Feature Keys that can be programmed as
Line Appearance Keys so users can see what is happening or is an outside is available,
Hot Line Keys so users can see the status of other phones if they are off hook,
Call Coverage Keys for other extensions,
Group Keys for Ring Groups & Extension Groups,
Page Zone for paging and public address,
Message Center Keys for notification of messages in other voicemailboxes,
Call Forward to other extensions or an off-site Cell Phone,
Headset Key to enable a Headset or Disable a Headset,
Intercom and a
Flash Key to provide functionality with service provider features.
Personal Speed Dial Keys
The personal speed dial keys can be programmed for phone numbers, extension numbers, transfer calls off-premise, features of the phone system, public address, call forwarding, and service provider features.
Non Programmable Feature Keys
As you can see a Transfer Key for transferring calls, Intercom key, Flash Key for service provider features, V-Mail key for accessing voice mail messages, DND Key AKA Do Not Disturb, Mute Button to mute the microphone, Conference Key for making conference calls, Speaker Key to turn the speaker on and off, and finally a hold Key for placing calls on hold.
THIS PHONE IS DIGITAL PHONE AND IS COMPATIBLE WITH THE NEC DSX PHONE SYSTEM AND WILL NOT WORK WITH ANY OTHER PHONE SYSTEM.
